I pumped exclusively for my cleft palate angel for 26 months. I am still not over the loss of the nursing relationship even though my current baby nurses great. Why is this pain so persistent? It was so hard to bond with her because she was so very difficult to feed. I would spend 10+hours per day forcing her to take just enough to survive and half the time she would throw it right back up.
